AI Use Statement

Task OS uses artificial intelligence to help you work faster. We believe you should know exactly where, how, and with what limits AI is used. This statement supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. Where we use AI

AI features are optional and run only when you invoke them (or, for shared briefings, on a schedule). They may include:

Daily market/news briefings — summarizing public headlines into a short digest.
Recipe generation & meal suggestions — creating recipes within your stated constraints.
Meal photo analysis — estimating nutrition/macros from a photo you upload.
Inbox / content summaries — condensing items you choose to summarize.
Other assistant-style helpers labeled as AI in the app.

Several of these are Premium features.

2. Which AI providers we use

Task OS sends AI requests to Anthropic (the “Claude” family of models). Only the content needed to fulfill your specific request is sent — for example, the headlines being summarized, the constraints for a recipe, or the photo you chose to analyze. Requests are transmitted securely.

3. How your data is used with AI

We send the minimum content necessary for the feature you triggered.
We do not use your private content to train our own models, and we rely on providers that do not train their models on API data submitted through their business terms.
AI outputs you generate are stored with your account like your other content, so you can revisit them.

4. Limitations — please read

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. It may “hallucinate” facts. You should independently verify anything important. In particular:

Not professional advice. AI output is not financial, investment, medical, nutritional, legal, or tax advice. Nutrition and macro estimates are approximate. Market summaries are informational only — see the financial disclaimer in our Terms.
Your judgment governs. You are responsible for how you use AI output and any decisions you make based on it.
No guarantee of availability. AI features depend on third-party providers and may change or be unavailable.

5. Your controls

AI features are opt-in per action — nothing is sent to an AI provider unless you trigger a feature that clearly uses AI.
You can choose not to use AI features and still use the core app.
You can request deletion of AI outputs stored in your account (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Human oversight & feedback

AI features are tools that assist you, not autonomous decision-makers acting on your behalf without your request. If an AI feature produces something harmful, inaccurate, or inappropriate, please tell us at [email protected] so we can improve it.

As our AI features evolve, we’ll update this statement and the “Last updated” date above.
